The International Enrichment Projects give Wigan Warriors College learners the opportunity to take their studies beyond the classroom through life-changing overseas experiences. Delivered as part of the UK Government’s Turing Scheme, these projects are designed to broaden horizons, build independence and develop personal and professional skills in a new cultural environment.
Each year, selected learners have the chance to travel abroad for a fully funded international experience. Previous destinations have included Sicily, where learners immersed themselves in local culture and took part in a range of outdoor and indoor activities - from coastal exploration and hiking to cooking, sport and community engagement.
The projects encourage teamwork, communication and adaptability, helping learners develop qualities that are invaluable both in sport and in life. Whether you’re navigating new challenges, learning from different perspectives or representing Wigan Warriors College on an international stage, you’ll gain confidence and memories that last a lifetime.
