Functional Skills in English and Maths form an essential part of every learner’s programme at Wigan Warriors College. These qualifications ensure that all students develop the practical communication and numeracy skills needed for success in both sport and everyday life.
If you haven’t already achieved a Grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths, you’ll study Functional Skills alongside your main qualification as part of your timetable. Classes are small, supportive and focused on real-world applications - from analysing game statistics and fitness data to writing reports, emails and reflections with confidence.
